Use Your Car as a Dolly to Add Production Value? Yep. October 19 2015, 0 Comments
This is a fun video with several good tips for shooting with you car. Some are pretty obvious, and some not so much.
Adding movement or motion to any shot or scene adds production value - and that makes things feel more expensive - and subconsciously more professional (especially for indie filmmakers).
That's one of the things we routinely preach is adding production value in anyway you can.
For example, like with our 2nd Unit™ ELEMENTS collection. Adding a defocused foreground object (like a tree branch), as simple as it seems, can really make a shot feel bigger, feel more expensive - adding production value - and ultimately work better for your story.
And using your car as a dolly or even a scooter or a wheelchair can do the same.
