Some Very Effective Visual Effects March 17 2016, 1 Comment
Check out this (very) short film below to see what we think are some very effective visual effects (and a very organic feel, which we're big fans of)...
And this from a guy in film school! Here are some notes from his Vimeo page...
Short video for VFX course in film school. Shot on a Sony a7S II and the Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 in 4K with S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3. I was manly trying out After Effects' own 3D Camera Tracker. Graded in DaVinci Resolve after applying the wonderful Neat Video noise reduction and FilmConvert. Huge thanks to my brother and his four clones for helping me with the shoot.
Check out the VFX Breakdown here...
While this really feels more like the opening of a short film than an actual short film, it does show what can be done with a very simple location and a creative vision. This kid definitely appears to have a good filmmaking future in front of him.
